Het Collectief is one of the best Belgian ensembles to perform “modern” music, especially pieces from the beginning of the 20th century that still revolutionise our listening experience. With Reinbert de Leeuw, who specialises in such music, at their head, the group invites us to rediscover Gustav Mahler’s masterpiece by Schönberg, for 13 instruments, featuring Lucile Richardot, mezzo soprano with a dark, enchanting timbre for whom the “Song of the Earth” (“Das Lied von der Erde”) could have been written.
